Welcome to the VirginiaFirePix, the premier repository for professionally taken, posed, well-lit Virginia fire apparatus. Developed by Taylor Goodman, who's assisted by Mike Sanders, the site primarily focuses on Virginia, with limited coverage of areas bordering Virginia, including Southern Maryland, North Carolina's Outer Banks, and Eastern Kentucky.
Taylor is a career lieutenant with the Henrico County Division of Fire, and also serves as chief of the Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department in Powhatan County. He serves on the apparatus committee with both departments, and has a life-long interest in fire apparatus. He's been photographing fire apparatus since the early 1990's.
Mike is a firefighter/apparatus operator with the Ashburn Volunteer Fire-Rescue Department in Loudoun County. He travels extensively, allowing him to photograph a variety of apparatus from across the Commonwealth. Mike began his apparatus photography in the late 1980's.
Some of the photos on the site are also taken by Jerry Puryear, publisher of the Virginia Fire News magazine. Jerry's also been photographing Virginia fire apparatus since the 1980's. We appreciate his contributions.
